Hitler Films

There are many different films and movies out there about Adolf Hitler, World War II, and the Holocaust. Most of the films that you will find about this man are documentaries, but there are again variations on the focus of the movie and what type of information or insight is provided. Some films will focus on Hitler himself, as a man and a leader. Others will focus on his role as dictator of Germany and leader of the Nazi party. Even more will focus specifically on the Holocaust and his involvement in the massive genocide that took place between 1933 and 1945 in Europe.

There are even some Hitler films that will cover every aspect of the man and his life, giving you a chance to get a full idea of what this man was all about. Hitler was responsible for the start of World War II, as the Allied powers grew tired of his overtaking European countries and enforcing his strict totalitarian government on them. He is also blamed for the Holocaust, which involved the murder of more than 6 million Jews and over 11 million people in total. Although direct, official orders were never handed down from Hitler, historical findings have proven that his leadership and influence is what inspired his men to begin the mass murder of Jews and other 'inferiors' during his reign.

Hitler films look at the historical event from all angles. Some will focus on Hitler himself. Others focus on his impact on the men who served him and the people who followed his Nazi ideologies. Some even focus on the victims and survivors of the Holocaust, giving an entirely different perspective of how things occurred. You can choose from factual documentaries that don't provide a lot of opinion on the matter, fictional movies inspired by Hitler and the Holocaust, and opinion-based documentaries and other films that discuss the situation and the man from various perspectives.

Hitler films all have one thing in common: they provide insight and historical information about a man who is known for his Nazi ideology and his blatant hatred for anyone deemed 'inferior'. His dream of a master race fueled the Holocaust and the beginning of World War II, and is what led to his ultimate demise. Today, however, there are mixed opinions on this man and his motives. Supporters of Nazi ideals tend to think of him as a martyr while those who are on the other side of the fence see him as nothing more than a murderer.
